Sarathi.nic.in Driving License Online Application form and Slot booking

Getting driving license can be a tough job in India unless you know an agent. However, we should try to do things the legal way and through procedures provided by the Government of India.
The best way to get the driving license by applying at sarathi.nic.in online. Today, I will show you how to use the sarathi website and get your DL made online.

Note: The site sarathi.nic.in can be down sometimes or may not submit the data to the server. In such cases try applying at a different time.

How to apply Online For Driving License at Sarathi.nic.in?

Step 1. Visit sarathi.nic.in

Step 2. Click on Application form for new LL and DL (Learning license and driving license) under sarathi license services grid.

Step 3. A new license application form will open with multiple tabs to be filled.

Step 4. Fill the form tabs one by one.

Step 5. Under Request for services on Licence tab select New Learner's License for learning license otherwise select New Driving License if you are applying for permanent license.

Step 6. Under Applicant Details tab fill in your details.

Step 7. Under Address Details give your correct address as the license will be delivered at your address.

Step 8. Under Class of vehicles tab you can only select two type of vehicles, so choose carefully according to what you want to drive. The most common choice made by common people is:
MOTOR CYCLE WITH GEAR (NON TRANSPORT)(MCWG) and LMV-NT-CAR(LMV)

Other choices are:

• MOTOR CYCLE LESS THAN 50CC(MC50CC)

Step 9. Under Documents tab add only Address and Age proof documents and put your AADHAAR Card as a Address proof and tenth class marksheet as age proof, if you have. Otherwise, select other document from the list.

Step 10. Select these options in the end if you are not physically handicapped.

Step 11. Submit the form. Pay the fees online.

Step 12. Print the form, attach photocopy of original documents and visit the nearest RTO office along with your original documents.
